Contrary to what the cynics say, distance is not for the fearful, it’s for the bold! it’s for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone, in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It’s for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don’t nearly see it enough!!
— I don’t really know who this is by, but I saw it and I liked it….very true, I must say :) x

Navy times….

SOOO i spent last week down in plymouth visiting the boyfriend avec his familia. I thoroughly enjoyed myself i have to say.

We headed down south last wednesday, so exactly a week ago :) once we arrived we just chilled out at Andy’s sisters place, until Andy’s leave was piped and he came to join us. He then took me on lovely stroll in the fields of South Brent, i have to say - i do love devon!! :D

The following day, myself, Pauline (Andy’s mum) and Alaister (his dad) went to meet him and the Queen at HMS Ocean. It was a really lovely day, although quite a bit of waiting around, however it was nice to be there and just be able to chill after having so much planning to do for school. Was also lovely to be in Andy’s company once again :D

That night we all headed out for a meal on the barbacan in plymouth, real good food and great company….followed by some beverages with some of andrew’s naval buddies who had also been out around the barbacan with their families.

Friday we headed out to sea…..had to get my self customed to being thrown about a little, but it was all good fun. Was really great to have a look round the ship or andy’s “big gray mansion with a sea view” as he likes to call it.

all in all….i had the best weekend, and it was a good way to say goodbye to Andrew for atleast 6weeks now as he is off to the states on deployment tomorrow morning (fortunately as he is still training, its not for a 6month period….thats for when he has passed out. thats when the fun will start, hey? for him atleast….)

Heres a few pictures….i always believe they tell it better.

enjoy….

Plans plans plans….

So placement has been rather a stressful pàin in the bum this week, as its been planning week. So that’s not been very fun. But oh wells, its the life of a teacher I spose, gotta grin and bear it (I can say that now cause all my plans are done, yesterday I wasn’t saying that, believe me! Haha)

This time next week I would have met the queen - now how exciting is that! Canny wait :)
Also lookin forward to seeing the boyfriend ofcourse ;)
Along with some friends through andy’s navy connections. It should be a good long weekend.

That’s it for now though guys.
Lotsa loving xxx

Bin a bit rubbish at updating here lately. I blame the boyfriend and the sun. Its been wonderful though. Really do love a bit of tropical weather here in the usually rainy uk.

So what did I get up to during my weekend. Well andrew had leave so that was fun. Spent friday in birmingham with my best friend- andy picked me up from there and we went out for a meal…myself, andy, becky and her boy lawrence (first double date for me and bee-a revelation too…but that’s a story for another day!)
Then me and andy journeyed home which was fun playing silly memory games all the way back. Enjoyed it very much.
Saturday I worked….til half 1 and then went into liverpool for the evening with andy.
Sunday was glorious so it was a. Barby at mine an then another at andy’s.

All together a fun filled weekend. Except the goodbye, that’s the rubbishy bit. But 9 days and I am off to plymouth.

Currently on planning week in school. Oh joyful. Major boredom, but such is the life of a trainee teacher.

That’s you updated….so over and out peeps xx

And here is my very own little gorgeous girl…….Mathabo…..said “mu-ta-bow”

One of the children at Morning Star Christian Daycare Centre in Welkom, South Africa. The centre is for children with HIV and AIDS and last year when I spent 5weeks out in south africa, I visited and worked here for a while. All the children are held close to my heart. And now this little boy is part of our extended whiteway family because we decided to sponsor him after Joan Adams - general manager of morning star visited bridge on sunday. He is so so cute!!

Life and times….

Sooo….
Not got much to say really, diet still going smoothly! Except I have to say, I really am starving.
Heading out for food tonight to an italian restaurant for a friends birthday….so I am trying to keep my calorie count down for the first two meals so I can enjoy a proper meal later.
Ahhh the things you have to do to look good :)

Things on the life front (other than the diet, which seems to be taking over my life right now)
Had an exam this morning….so that’s university over for the momento, and now its just a waiting game until I go on the placement.
In the mean time I shall be working….and visiting. Excited about that!!!
So that’s about all for now……..have a good’n x

Okay that’s it we are seeing other people!!
— Ross (friends) when charlie starts kissing her ex infront of him. Hilar!!
